Follow the residents of the small town of Mawinhaken, Pennsylvania, as a sudden zombie outbreak turns an ordinary day into a fight for survival. When the dead begin rising and attacking the living, chaos quickly spreads through the streets, hospitals, and homes of the town. A group of strangers, including a former soldier, a mortuary assistant, local teenagers, and emergency workers, are forced together as they try to escape the growing horde and protect the people they care about.
