Biography
Vangelis Ploios (Peristeri, November 13, 1937) is a Greek actor of theater, cinema and television.
He studied classical ballet at the school of Elli Zouroudis. In 1953 he made his first appearance on the stage of the "Rex" Theater in a ballet by Elli Zouroudis. He was taught acting by Dimitris Rontiris and vocal and solfeggio lessons by Joseph Ritsiardis. In 1956 he obtained his license to practice as an exceptional talent and began his theatrical career.
In 1998-99, the cycle of his theatrical journey at the Herodion was completed with the comedy of Aristophanes, Ploutos (in the role of Vlepseidemus).
He has served in all types of entertainment: Prose, Review, Operetta, Chorodrama, Revue piste, Variety, Cinema, Television.
In 1978, at the behest of the private school Gounarakis-Baxter, he directed Aristophanes' Irene (in a children's adaptation by Sofia Zarabouka) starring the school's students. The performance was performed at the Acropolis Theater with great success.
During his professional career, he collaborated, in theater and cinema, with all the great and renowned artists of his time and was a brotherly friend and collaborator of Dinos Iliopoulos. He also collaborated for many years with the theatrical entrepreneur Vasilis Bournellis in the theaters: Acropolis (Ippokratous), Bournelli (Alexandras Avenue), National Garden (Syntagma Square).
He toured throughout Greece with his own troupe and with other troupes, as a key figure. He also toured in Cyprus and Egypt.
He is married to actress Ria Deloutsi.
